In Ragusa we have nearly all the technologies for the renewable energy: a wind factory, another fueled by flare gas, after carbon dioxide extraction. Also several photovoltaic plants, pilots plants for biogas production and pyrolysis gas (syngas or producer gas), from wood waste. The heat is then injected in our district heating grid. In summer it is used as water-chiller for the air conditioning, strange as it can sound!
A waste meat incinerator produces some other heat, to be used as above. | | | | |
